ClearWater was founded in 1982 and has grown over the years to become the premier water testing laboratory in Maine. ClearWater is a Maine-State-Accredited laboratory that offers a range of conventional water and wastewater testing services, and specializes in Whole Effluent Toxicity (WET) testing also known as Bioassay Toxicity testing. ClearWater was the first environmental laboratory in Maine to perform WET testing in Maine. ClearWater Laboratory serves as a critical hub for analyzing various environmental samples, playing a vital role in protecting public health and the ecosystem. Besides offering drinking water testing to private well owners, ClearWater also handles samples from industries, municipalities, and environmental consultants.
ClearWater partners with other accredited labs to offer tests that identify and quantify pollutants, contaminants, and other substances in drinking water and wastewater.
